The Other Bennet Sister is galloping toward its Britbox finale (the U.K. got the whole thing months ago, much to my angst!). It's a delightful tv show about Miss Mary Bennet navigating life and love after the marriages of her sisters. The 30-minute episodes are an excellent snack, but don't expect spice.
You know who is getting all the spice? Mrs. Lydia Wickham in today's new release, Drilled by Her Officers. I've been referring to this book as [SPOILER ALERT] an "ode to anal." With three strapping officers to satisfy, her — ahem — horizons need to expand, and she's blossoming into her most outrageous, bratty self again on a journey to Brighton.
Netflix will release a new Pride & Prejudice series this fall, which is an interesting choice since the Keira Knightley-Matthew Macfadyen movie is only, what, five years old?
*buzz in my earpiece*
Apologies, it has come to my attention that the latest major P&P was released twenty-one years ago?? Considering that I think of that adaptation as "the new one," I am not well.
Send smelling salts and retinol to my office floor.
